I was online and came across a new book, new age that is now old age really, that basically contradicts everything that the Bible teaches. This is nothing new. It's the same old tired New Age nonsense that infiltrates the world of unbelievers as truth. Of course they claim to have proof that I'm Okay ,You're Okay. There is no sin. No consequence for one's actions. And evil is a misconception and doesn't exist. And as for a nefarious denizen of wickedness called the devil and satan? No such thing. Still the events that are plastered on the news everyday can quash that notion in an instant. And does so every single day.
Or maybe it's the lack of positive thoughts and concentrating on negative thoughts that's the problem. Just think good things and good things will happen. But what may be good thoughts for one person may not be good thoughts for another person. What may be a good thought to one may be to someone else a bad thought that could lead to bad actions culminating in what the law says is criminal activity. It's all the matter of a persons perspective. Or what is immoral to one may not be seen as immoral to another. Leave it up to the heart of mankind, which by the way is deceitful above all things and desparately wicked (Jer. 17:9) to blur that line and call evil good and good evil.
I used to believe in the new age nonsense that everyone is OK....death is just a wonderful transition from one plane to another. There is no judgement....there is no sin....no need for a savior....no need for God. And of course there is no devil, satan or father of lies. I dabbled in this lie. In God's grace and mercy he sought this man for His own. And He called him from darkness to light and from death to life. And my life hasn't been the same since. Which I am extremely grateful for to an all knowing, all caring, all loving God who bestows His grace on those who don't deserve His mercy. (1 Cor. 1:26-31)
As Jesus said, "I did not come to call the righteous (those who think they are just so wonderfully good and God would be privilaged to have them in His kingdom) but sinners to repentance. And Scripture teaches there is no other way to heaven for anyone. All other religions are nothing but idols to be shunned and avoided as you would a plague. For they offer no freedom from the judgement that God will pour out in His wrath on a sinful and dying world. And with fire and brimestone, weeping and gnashing of teeth in the afterlife in what Jesus talked about more than anyone else in scripture. Referred to as the Pit, the Abyss or more commonly as Hell. Which by the way, Jesus spoke about more than anyone else in the scriptures.
Our Bibles tell us when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son. Born of a woman (the virgin will concieve and bear a Son Is. 7:14)...born under the law. Jesus Christ who did not come to destroy the law and the prophets but to fulfill them. The bible also tells us there is no one righteous, no not one. That all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For there is no one who seeks after God. For Jesus proclaimed “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications (sexual immorality-- any sexual acts outside the marriage bond of a man and women), murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” (Mark 7:20-23)
Don't believe the lies of this world. (1 John 2:15-17) That there are many ways to God. That it doesn't matter what you believe for we're all headed to the Nirvana pastures of lush fields, flowing pristine streams and bright colored flowers. Only One Kingdom of God. And Only One Way, Truth and Life by which to enter into the joy of the Lord. By grace through faith and not of yourself.....it's a gift of God not of works. It is by God's mercy that one is brought from darkness to light and from death to life.
The devil, satan.... God's and all mankinds adversary prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. His objective is to stifle the plan of God. Don't believe His lies. For he is the father of lies. And a murderer from the beginning. (John 8:44) To lead the world away from the truth of God. That God so loved the world that he sent His only begotten Son. That whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
For we do not wrestle aganist flesh and blood, but aganist principalities, aganist, powers, aganist the rulers of the darkness of this age and aganist the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Jesus Christ won that war when he went to the cross. And has conquored death for all those who confess with their mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God has raised Him from the Dead. They will be saved. (Romans 10:9) God's chosen people are saved from the wrath of God, from the judgement that awaits the wicked. And offers the gift of forgiveness, redemption and everlasting life to all those who call on His name.
Jesus Christ said to those who persectuted Him and put him to death, "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." Not only that, Jesus had a confrontation with the devil when tempted 40 days and nights in the wilderness. (Matt. 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13) The devil even used scripture to try and trick the Son of God into proof Jesus was indeed God's Son. Jesus replying with scripture and a correct interpretation of God's Word in His response. Three times the devil was foiled in his attemps and so departed until what scripture says was an opportune time. The devil does not give up easily. He is real. He is persistent. He is the enemy of all mankind and desires our disobedience and our doubting of God's word as he prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He is the enemy of all mankind; And our adversary of all that is Holy, Righteous, Truth and Good.
Don't be deceived by the father of lies. The evil one is cunning in blinding the minds of unbelievers so that they can not see the light of the gospel of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. He even energizes his ministers as deceitful workers that lure the unsuspecting to their doom. By keeping them away from the truth of God's word. Or distorting or watering it down. For He has the ability to control the hearts and minds of sinful fallen mankind. Satan himself comes as an angel of light claiming to have special knowledge that drifts from the truth of God's word. Even denying the One who bought them with a price. The precious blood of Jesus Christ. Throw off the fetters of unbelief that have a strangle hold on your life and believe in the only name under heaven that delivers one from the bongage to sin and death. To the promise of everlasting life with a citizenship in heaven where you will glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
"And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death." (Rev. 1:18)
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld His glory as the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. Behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to Him!
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Mark 7:13-14)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matt. 11:28-30)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)
