It is DAMP, with DRIZZLE AND CHILLY day for us here in Central Florida. So unlike the climate we are accustomed to. It's a chilly 64 degrees....Those up north laugh at that statement. But the Florida cold chills to the bone. I have heard people who visited from up north declare that while visiting. Somehow for whatever reason I thought of how long I've been in Central Florida. 46 years now! Yikes! I came for a job and never left. I've lived in the cities of Titusville, Merrit island and Cocoa. (on the east coast) On January 1986 while working Radio in Cocoa (which served the Orlando market....powerful signal on a huge tower) I watched while the Shuttle Challenger ascended into the skies and suddenly exploded across the expanse. My reaction to a new chief engineer who had never seen a Shuttle launch up close before, was simply "The (blank) shuttle just blew up. They're all dead! (It was a crude reaction...but I'm a realist at heart)
We had a clear and open view of the disaster on that cold January morning. And I was correct in that statement. (the shuttle crew tried to fly the shuttle out of its perdicatment as the front of the shuttle(the cabin--top right arrow in picture ) plummeted to the Atlantic below. I was told the crew were alive when the flight deck/ cockpit hit the ocean at Mach 1.92 (about 207 miles per hour) The cabin hit the water's surface about 2 minutes and 45 seconds after the breakup. Resulting in a violent impact that was too rapid for any crew members to survive.
But our sojourn into the darkness and vastness of the lifeless vaccuum of space continues as Artemis ventures around the moon and back. The pictures have been absolutely spectacular. Yet have caused me to ponder the wonder of it all. A universe seemingly endless, infinite, and foreboding. With trillions and trillions of stars, billions and billions of galaxies, planets, moons, endless in existence. Yet one biblcal verse keeps flashing into my mind: Isaiah 45:18
For thus says the Lord,
Who created the heavens,
Who is God,
Who formed the earth and made it,
Who has established it,
Who did not create it in vain,
Who formed it to be inhabited:
“I am the Lord, and there is no other.
I have come to believe that this less than a speck in the universe is where God fashioned and put an abundance of life. Surrounded it with an atmosphere, brought fourth fields of grass, crops, and trees. Put upon this planet the birds of the air, creatures in the sea, animals that walk the earth and from the dust of this earth fashioned mankind. Unfortunately the first human beings failed to believe and trust in God. And chose rather to believe a lie from the serpent (satan himself) . That if they disbelieved what God said, and believed his (serpents) lie, they would be like God. As the federal heads of mankind they represented us all. God surmised any created human being would have done the same thing. God thus condemned the entire human race to the sin they earned and death which is the result of disbelief. For the wages of sin is death. We all are born with a sinful adamic nature. But the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ the Lord. It is by God's grace that anyone is saved from God's wrath to c ome.
Oh you don't believe the Bible? Everything just somehow happened to create itself? Common sense says Nothing from Nothing leaves Nothing. You can't get anything from Nothing. Nothing can't create anything because simply put it is Nothing. No Thing. Nothing signifies the absence of existence. Yes as Billy Preston sang so many years ago now, I repeat "Nothing, from Nothing, leaves Nothing."
The only thing that makes any sense at all is that there is a creator of this material universe. And the planet we inhabit is very special in the sight of God. I believe that now more than ever after observing some of the photos taken by the artemis crew. We live on a world at the perfect distance from our star, the sun. All the planets and moons around us either too cold or too hot to sustain any kind of life. Our earth temperature is just right. It is a world bathed in beautiful large oceans, seas, lakes and rivers. One of the main ingredients from which life is able to survive and florish. And our atmosphere's thin layer is composed of just the right amount of Nitrogen (78 percent) and Oxygen (21 percent) plus argon and other gases including trace amounts of carbon dioxide, methane, waster vapor and neon. The composition that is essential for supporting life on earth. This wasn't an accident and just happened without any intelligence behind its amazing existence. It is well thought out, planned and designed.
The Bible tells us in its first words "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth. That God spoke it out by His Son Jesus Christ. The Word who was in the beginning with God and was God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life and that life is the light of men. For Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created by Him and through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
That is ALL THINGS...every sinew of your material being. Every fiber of what and who you are. Thought out and executed into being by an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, sovereign, who is and was and always will be. The Everlasting, Righteous, Almighty, Devine and Holy God. Every cell, every atom, every nucleus, electron, proton, neuton held together by the the Word of God Jesus Christ. He is The Way, the Truth and the Life. His is the only name under heaven by which anyone is saved from the wrath of God. And into a kingdom, an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you. All things are by Him and for Him and held together by God the Fathers One and Only Son Jesus Christ, the Lord. (see Col. 1:13-18)
The Apostle Paul reveals who Jesus is with these words in Philippians 2:5-11 Where he writes: "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of (in very nature) God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
For as Jesus Christ said, He always does the Father's will. God's plan to send his divine Son, Born of a woman, a virgin conceived a Son, born under law, to fulfill the law and the prophets, that He might be the Savior of the world. One hundred percent man, without sin, being one hundred percent God. Laying aside certain of His privilages as God while clothed in human flesh. Tempted in all points as we are, yet without sin. Jesus Christ-- the God-Man.
He humbled himself as a man to save His people, from their sin. God had a plan and it has been fulfilled. Jesus is the child born, of a virgin, the Son given. Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, *** Prince of Peace. (Is. 7:14; 9:6)
He is Immanuel (meaning God with us) (Is. 7:14)
Born in Bethlehem of the tribe of Judah, he one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2 OT)
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; Chastisement (punishment) for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Is. 53:5 OT)
“He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.” (Is. 53:7 OT)
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29)
The scepter (kingship) shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people. (Gen. 49:10 OT)
The Messiahs hands and feet would be pierced: For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet; (Ps. 22:16)
All fulfilled in Jesus Christ at His crucifixion as explained in John 20:25-28 "The other disciples therefore said to Thomas, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you. Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
Genealogy of Jesus Luke chaper 3 tells us "Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph....the son of Amminadab, the son of Ram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah.... the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the Son of God.
Palms 45:6-7 says to the Son, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You, With the oil of gladness more than Your companions. ( quoted in New Testament book of Hebrews 1:8-12 proving Jesus is that one the prophets spoke about)
The Old Testament predicted the coming of a savior, a redeemer to rescue His people from their sinful fallen condition. It all began because the first created human beings failed to believe the God who formed them from the dust of the earth. Instead they chose to doubt God, and believe a lie. They wanted to be like God which the serpent (satan) promised they would be if they would just eat of the fruit from the tree of knowledge or good and evil. Which God warned them not to do. Overcome by evil they submitted to the lie of the devil, that they would not die but be like God. The apostle Paul tells us: "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. (Romans chapter 5)
The human race is bound to their sin nature. Yet by grace through faith and not of ourselves one believes, and is delivered from death to life, from darkness to light. Jesus Christ perfection is imputed to our accounts. They appropriate salvation unto everlasting life and a citizenship in heaven. A gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
NOTE: The mathematical impossibility of fulfilling these prophecies by chance is virtually impossible, with the odds being 1 in 10¹⁷ for eight prophecies and 1 in 10¹⁵⁷ for 48 prophecies. These calculations are based on the historical context of the prophecies and the accuracy of the Bible's message.
Also ***In Isaiah 9:6, the title "Everlasting Father" refers to the Messiah, Jesus Christ, rather than God the Father. This title signifies His eternal nature and authority, emphasizing His role as a ruler and protector of His people. This interpretation highlights Jesus' divine nature and His eternal kingship, rather than suggesting that He is God the Father in the traditional sense.
