Land of the Lost

People suffer from the discrepancy of the  lost. They say they're fine. They're good people. Not deserving of any correction from God. Then there are those who deny God exists or they pick a god from a wide assortment of religions. Like the children's nursery rhyme "Three Blind Mice. See how they run." Unregenrate mankind is blind to the things of God. They run to what Scripture defines as the "Love of the World." The Apostle John tells us not to love the world for the things of the world are passing away. (1 John 2:15-17)  They will be non-existent in the kingdom of God. For the world and it's desires will one day cease to be.

Such worldy desires include  adultery,(sex with another beside the woman a man is married to. Or the man to whom the wife is married to.) fornication, (any sexual acitivity outside the marriage bond of a man and a woman)  lewdness (sexually immoral, indecent, and contrary to God’s standard of holiness),

idolatry,(having any other god except Yahweh, the God of Scripture-the Only Way, Truth and Life...If you worship any other god you are worshipping demons: Deuteronomy 32:16–17 states, “They stirred him (God) to jealousy with strange gods; with abominations they provoked him to anger. They sacrificed to demons that were no gods, to gods they had never known, to new gods that had come recently, whom your fathers had never dreaded” (ESV) Leviticus 17:7 adds another important connection: “They shall no more offer their sacrifices to demons, after whom they have played the harlot” (NKJV) Demonic activity is associated with religions that embrace a multitude of gods and goddesses. Demons teach false doctrine in order to deceive (1 Timothy 4:1; 1 Cor 10:20).

sorcery (New Testament Greek word translated “sorcery” is pharmakeia, which is the source of our English word pharmacy. In Paul’s day, the word primarily meant “dealing in poison” or “drug use” and was applied to divination and spell-casting because sorcerers often used drugs along with their incantations and amulets to conjure occult power--the use of spells, divination, or speaking to spirits, is clearly condemned in the Bible. The word sorcery in Scripture is always used in reference to an evil or deceptive practice.) {Just a peronsal note:  I remember my Dad saying he had to go to the Drug Store. Which I find quite humerous when I think about it now...}.

hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies (some of those included:Arianism (4th century) Arius denied the full divinity of Jesus Christ, asserting that Jesus was a created being and not co-eternal with God the Father. Moderrn day: Jehovah Witnesses...Nestorianism (5th century) Nestorius, separated the divine and human natures of Jesus to an extent that implied two distinct persons rather than one united person. Oneness Pentascostal heresey: Teaches Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They deny the trinity.)

envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries ( rowdy, disorderly parties that go late into the night and consist of drinking, feasting, and other bad behavior. The general idea of reveling, as it is used in the Bible, is always negative).  All of these that cause mankind to "miss the Mark " to being accepted by God.  A decidedly more disturbingly  and  terrifying prospect for it is reality.

Many of these are accepted and practiced as fine and normal in our society today. Truth;  God's Truth eludes the world blinded by the god of this age. That great tempter and deceiver of mankind. Inhabitants dead to the idea they are blind. And recoil at the prospect that they are an offense to a holy and righteous God. Stumbling at every step, faultering in their choices, consumed  in illicit yearnings that lure them near that  precipice of pain and the hopelessness upon which they are treading. Beckoning them with each infraction on their crooked path. Each temptation. Each disobedience. Each capitulation ends with destruction that awaits unwearied victims of deception that will swallow them up like a beast that devours its  prey. Beguiled by lust. Fooled by emotion. Tricked by weak and submitting flesh. So willingly to those swindled by their own wanton desires does  righteousness allude the wicked.  As does the morning mist that dissipates with the rising of the sun. SIN rules to destroy. SIN is every human beings terminal illness. SIN is the one disease that infects us all. What shall we do!!???

For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.  For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?  I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! (Romans 7:15-25)

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. For as Jesus Himself proclaimed, "I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No One comes to the Father except through Me.  His is the Only Name under heaven by which anyone can be saved. From the wrath of God and unto everlasting life. A citizenship in heaven. In a new heaven and a new earth.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”      Let those have have ears to hear hear.

If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead. You will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
