We are a nation it seems at war with itself. The so called left are proud and emboldened to approve and accept every sort of wickedness that can be named ; abortion (the killing of the unborn); It must be, the right of every woman to end the life of their unborn child; If they so desire. It's her body and she must have the right to do with it as she pleases. Forgetting the unborn is another life that gets no say in the matter to live or die.
Everyone and anyone no matter who they are what they do, criminals included, must be allowed to cross our border, be seen as accepted and given whatever help they may need to survive though they have entered the country illegally. The left pushing for legal citizenship for all those illegal aliens no matter what their reason for crossing our border. Entering into the country Illegally is seen as a right to all those who seek it. The left is also pushing that those who are not citizens must be given the right to vote. Its their right they scream.
The left also vigorously pursues the right of openly crass perversion and ramphant immorality; that also has the certain result to approve and endanger children and teens who desire to believe they are another gender; with potential dangerous results both physically and mentality. Such obscene and dangerous practices worthy to be called an abomination. For the irreparable harm and damage that many have incurred. As they try to return to their born from the womb gender. (***) Transitioning doesn't fix the underlying ailments:
{Studies show that most people who want to live as the opposite sex have other psychological issues, such as depression or anxiety} https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/voices/2019/02/11/transgender-debate-transitioning-sex-gender-column/1894076002/
There is wanton rebellion against those who have authority over us and protect us from those who would do us harm; The Apostle Paul addresses this in Romans 13 saying "For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. " One group wants to eliminate the other group by what ever means is necessary. And the other group who opposes them, those same thoughts are bandied about in the same fashion. Hate brews more hate. The apostle James adddresses this to the believers with the words,"Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. (James 4:1-2)
Protest, scream, yell, punch, hit, pummel, stab, shoot, eradicate. Evil wicked thoughts course through the minds of those on both sides. They will not come to an agreement. They will never accept the other. The right respects and honors the law regarding who can enter our country. The left believes those laws are unjust so they should be ignored. I heard it said that what describes a nation is Borders, Language and Culture. Illegals seem to want to demand us to adopt their language, their culture. They have not come to adapt but to change the country that welcomes them. That isn't the way this country was founded or intended. Those who have no right to be here the way they came. Trampling upon the laws of this country which they disobeyed from the start. But entering the country illegally. With demands for the citizens of this nation to capitulate to their demands, their language, their culture. And ignore the laws on which this nation was founded. And which all true Americans cherish and hold dear.
Our nation was founded as a country of laws. That proclaim all its individuals are endowed by its creator with certain inalienable rights, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Within the boundry of its laws. It appears the left is the party of the lawless. It is a battle of what is lawful and what is unlawful. And the previous adminstration joined the lawless and flooded our land with illegals insisting it couldn't be stopped. Which from them meant they would not stop it. Those leaders were themselves lawless. In fact traitors of the very laws they are supposed to uphold. It truly is a sad state of affairs.
I believe in lawful immigration. It is unfair to those who have spent the time and money to become a bonafided citizen. They respected out laws, they obeyed the process. I know some who came to this country, and went thought the citizenship process lawfully. They love this country and appreciate all it offers and has allowed them to accomplish. They are lawful citizens who have embraced our ideals, our history, our laws. And we the people are better off for having them as fellow citizens.
There seems to be something more at work here. Scripture tells us that the god of this age (that is the devil or satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers. He plunders the hearts, minds and souls of the disobedient that they might find justification in their revulsion to the law. And even glory in their distain for truth and righteousness in their resentment for those who want law and order. For their animosity and contempt is the fuel that powers the reason for their existence. They seem to want all the advantages and good things that America offers. But without any loyality or respect for the freedoms Americans cherish. And many who have come across the border illegally do not wish to assimilate and adopt the American ideal. That America is a land of opportunity that allows the possibilty of upward mobility, freedom, and equality for people of all classes who work hard and have the will to succeed. It seems that those who come illegally only come to steal, rob, pillage and tear down the American ideal.
Example: in the LA protests some waved the Mexican flag, yet it seems they no way wanted to return to their country of origin. And oddly they flaunted the home of their birth and citizenship, the home they fled from, as they tread upon our United States soil. It showed me they have no intention of being American citizens in the true sense. But of expanding their homeland illegally. It sounded more like a threat and battle cry that we here in the United States of America must submit to the ways of their culture and country from which they deserted and fled. It sounded more like an invasion to conquer and change America to their own liking. Than to become peaceful, productive, and lawful citzens. We can not allow that to happen.
Thinking about this from a Biblical perspective I pondered that prehaps this is the wrath of God as depicted in the Bible. Why would I say such a thing? Many in our country have lost their moral footing, deny the truth of Scripture and refuse to believe. Those on the left have insisted that the four years of the last administration continue. So that they can continue to endorse and approve every sick, perverted, abomination one can image be accepted into the American culture as perfectly normal. Number one on the list: and garnering the most attention... Transgenderism took center stage. There were young people, some even with the approval of their parents, subjected to disfigurement of their God given gender to become what they said they thought they were. Or even what their parents wanted them to be. Boys want to be girls and girls want to be boys. There are cases that some who received such procedures and transitioned in their young lives regretted that decision later in life in what they say was a moment of confusion and reckless abandon. Approved, sanctioned and encouraged by some in the medical community as well. As they grew older the reality of what they thought was going to set them free became a lament of the mistake they must endure or detransition.***
Scripture says their comes a time when God gives a rebellious people over to their own evil hearts, to a reprobate mind. To do things they not ought to do. Included in the list is the worship of false gods and goddesses who are not gods at all. Christianity is suffering from decline from 2010-2020 to 28.8 percent. That was a decease of 1.8 percent. Where as Islam grew by 1.8 percent to 25.6 percent. Solidifying Islam as the fastest growing major world religion. True Christianity has been watered down so much to make it irrelevant to many in our society. They may see a sign saying "Jesus Loves You" and think "wow that's great. I'm OK"....And continue in a vile, wicked, even perverted lifestyle with no thought of judgement.
The church doesn't talk much about judgement. Interfers with the numbers. One church (so called) even had a sign on I-4 at the 434 exit saying "God Is Not Angry." That's a lie from the pit and smells like smoke. Scripture tells us "God is ANGRY with the wicked every day." And Psalm 7:11 (thank heaven for 711! Sorry couldn't resist) "God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation (offense, resentment) every day." In Genesis chapter six it says "the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth and He was grieved in His heart." So what did God do about that? He destroyed mankind from the face of the earth. Bringing a flood upon the ungodly. (Gen. 6:17) What is the end result if God's anger does not wane? The wrath of God. Things become so intolerable, so abominable that God gives people over to their evil desires for destruction of that society.
Many have come to think of technology as the answer to all the worlds problems. We have come to imagine that technology: our smart phones, computers, AI, the internet will free mankind from the bonage of hard labor giving us more time to ourselves. (Note: Yestersday I in went to do some shopping at Walmart Neighborhood in Apopka. They weren't open. Couldn't do any business. Their internet was down. Not working. Kaput.) I tremble at what will happen to our society if there is an nationwide interruption of the internet. People are crazy now. No smart phones will cause people to totally lose their minds. It's a scary thought. For everything has become dependent on our functioning technology. That goes and so does the minds of men)
Technology becomes idolized as the God of the new age fashioned in the image of man. Where mankind itself gives and gets worship through its creation. That's Idolatry. I myself use a computer. It is a wonderful tool for which to accomplish different tasks, for so many things. But it is not my god. Our technology is a tool to hopefully help make our lives a little less stressful. But I doubt that that is happening. For it appears that the worse case scenario could be mankinds end. Godfather of AI Geoffrey Hinton has voiced stark warnings about AI predicting massive job losses, the rise of digital immortality, and a future shaped by machines that may no longer need us. Can you say "Terminator"?
In Romans chapter 1 Paul describes God giving people over to there own evil desires for they are " being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Which seems to cover a vast majority of the population in this country today. What would have been taboo even to be discussed when I was a boy is now considered a perfectly legitimate and commendable practice. Meant to be admired and enjoyed.
Yet when discussing those things that anger God-- Idolatry and homosexuality--are seemingly pointed out as greviously connected when Paul says because they worshipped false god's, God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their flesh, to dishonor their bodies among themselves. This was God's final warning: Before the destruction and toppling of a spiritually blinded, immorally aloof nation. God gave them up to their vile passions.
It appears this could be the final transgression that seals the fate of a civilization.:"
For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
(1:26-27)To accomplish the judgement of His people Israel in the Old Testament we read that God many times used other pagan nations (heathen peoples; idol worshippers...(Medes-Persians-Modern day Iran), the Babylonians (Present day Iraq) and Assyrians (one of the key civilizations of Mesopotamia) to be His weapon of choice. God sent forth these peoples to punish his chosen nation of Israel. For they were neglecting the only true God of the prophets in the Old Testament. And adopting the ways of the pagans around them. For they were worshipping and offering up blood sacrifices to false gods, even sacrificing their children to the gods of the peoples throughout the land they inhabited. Something God never approved (Jer. 19:5; Lev. 18:23; 20:22), and told them what would happen if they did not eliminate the Cannites from the land He gave them. (Deut. 20:16-17) For God knew that those people would corrupt the chosen people of God. (Deut. 20:18) And in God's eyes the nation Israel would be committing a heinous and blasphemous Idolatry.
The church isn't immune from this today. Jesus Christ plays second fiddle so to speak, in many churches. Some insisting on eating only various foods, worshipping on a certain day, adherence to an invisible rapture that precedes and even takes precedence over the second coming of the Lord. And even a do this, don't do that theology of works that must be obeyed for one to be saved.
Sometimes church is more like a political gathering, than serious Bible exposition, rather than a study of God's Word. Family activities not in and of themselves wrong, but for many the only reason they attend church. Or prehaps because of the music, the entertainment factor takes precedence over all else. Or it's that it makes me feel good, I'm OK you're OK preaching that permeate many pulpits today. The everything or anything that tickles the ears is first in the lives of people. It's the mantra that God wants us to be happy, healthy and wealthy theology.
Pilate uttered to Jesus "what is truth?" Truth is that God says that he wants His people to be Holy. (set apart.) He wants us not to love the things of this world. The cravings of sinful man, that lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and boasting of what we have and do. No, he wants us to be Holy because He is Holy. (1 Peter 1:13-15) For the things of this world lead astray those who become enamored with them. The pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galtia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia whom Peter called the elect of God were themselves still drawn and tempted to such worldy pursuits that inspired Peter to warn them in his first epistle chapter four with the words:
Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles--when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
The apostle John tells us not to love the world or the things in the world because they are passing away. But the one who does the will of God lives forever.
You may ask, "what is the will of God." Let the Scripture speak:
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Ro. 12:2)
anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. (Jesus in John 7:17)
Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Heb. 13:20-21)
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:17)
For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. (1 Peter 3:17)
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; (1 Thess 4:3-5) In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. (Matt. 6:9-13)
And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:40)
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. (Matt. 7:21)
Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Gal. 1:3-5)
I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.(words of Jesus john 5:30)
Obeying and practicing the will of God should be every believers objective, intention and purpose. Every Christian should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. And the Lord will provide for your every need. In the most interesting and surprising ways. Finally God's word tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind....The greek word used in the original language of the New Testament is Metamorphoo. The word from which the english word "metamorphosis is derived. The word is used in the bible to describe the change of moral character for the better. Metamorphosis is also used to describe the change that takes place in nature when a creepy, crawly, catapiller changes into a beautiful winged butterfly. The word of God transforms us mind, body and spirit to love God by wanting to do and obey His good, perfect and acceptable will.
The world can't save you. Material things can not secure salvation or protection from God. All the money in the world can not deliver you into the Kingdom of God. Life is a mist and a vapor. We're here for a little while then vanish away. Eternity awaits us all. Where will you spend it? Absent from the body and present with the Lord. Which Paul said, "is far better" for those who have responded to His call. And desire to walk worthy of the summons they have received. Or absent from the presence of God and the glory of His power. Where there is as Jesus said, "weeping and gnashing of teeth." That is a profound sorrow, regret and anguish of final judgement and separation from God.
Unless you think I'm being too harsh note this: Jesus spoke about Hell more than anyone else in the Bible. That should tell everyone that it's important. That it's real and as Jesus proclaimed it is an everlasting conscious punishment for all those who who have not been brought from darkness to light and from death to life. Through the only name under heaven by which anyone is saved from the wrath of God. As Jesus proclaimed "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the father except through me." (John 14:6) It is a broad road that is the path to what Jesus described as the fiery furnance, the hell of fire; eternal fire for the devil and his angels--satans messengers; the lake of fire spoke about in Revelation 20:10-15.
The blessed Apostle Paul encouraged the believers in Thessalonia with these words "and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed. (2 Thess. 1:7-10)
The fate of God's people who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13) Is that Blessed Hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior Jesus Christ. Who will deliver us from this body of death. And into everlasting life.
"Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be self controlled. Set your hope fully on the grace to be given to you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedience children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you walked in ignorance. But just as He who called you is Holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written:"Be holy, because I am Holy.
Jesus said to the people, "You must be perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect, to be accepted into the Kingdom of God. That perfection is only attained by trusting in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. " For Jesus clothed Himself with a body of flesh, blood and bones to fulfill the law and the prophets. For He is the Word who was in the beginning with God and was God. The very Son of God who willing obeyed His Father, lived that perfect life that no mere moral person could do. For all, that's ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Jesus is the one mediator between God and man. The only name under heaven by which anyone is saved. "seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things (that you need on earth) will be added to you."(Matt. 6:33)
That holiness, that righteousness, that perfection is exclusively attained through God's One and Only Son. Jesus Christ who Himself proclaimed, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)
He is the child born, the Son given, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace spoken of over 700 years before He was born in a body of flesh, blood and bones to a virgin, in Bethlehem. (Is. 9:6;7:14;Micah 5:2)
Jesus stressed to the people "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.(Matt. 10:37)
Jesus said, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ (Matt. 23:37)
The apostle Paul told the Colossians (and likewise us today) As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving (Col. 2:6-7)
For you were washed [by the atoning sacrifice of Christ], sanctified (set apart) you were justified [declared free of guilt] in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the spirit of our God. (1 Cor 6:11)
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13)
For mankinds salvation from the wrath of God is "by God's grace through faith and not of ourselves; it is a gift of God not of works, lest anyone should boost." (Eph. 2:8-10)
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17)
Commit your works to the Lord, And your plans will be established. (Proverbs 16:3)
You, put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph 4:24)
For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.(1 Cor 2:2;5)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (1 Cor. 5:17)
John Newton in his old age and had forgotten so much said this: "Two things I know. I'm a great sinner. And Christ is a great Savior. John Newton experienced that grace and penned a little hymn you may have heard about and sung:
Amazing grace, How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.I once was lost, but now I am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come,
'Tis grace has brought me safe thus far
and grace will lead me home
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” – Micah 6:8
The five essential doctrines of Christianity are:
- The nature of the triune God
- The redemptive life and work of Jesus Christ
- The empowering Holy Spirit
- The authority of the BibleT
