Israel Hamas Oct 7 2023-The Spiritual Warfare

 

It appears that Maga has been upstaged by the hordes of young students and some professors on college campuses throughout the nation . Protesting Israel's incusion into Gaza. As I watch the roving mass of masked and anger filled students. Coming from a Christian faith perspective I see this truly as a battle for what is good and what is evil.

A spiritual war waging from the forces of evil over their distain and downright hateful attitude toward the only true God.                                                                                                                               WHAT! You say. Yes! Consider that the evil one wanted to destroy Christ while he walked on this earth. Little knowing that God's plan was to offer His only Son as a sacrifice  for the sin of the world. The passover with the blood of the lamb  on the lintels of the doorways protected  the Israelites from the death angel. And the animal sacifices at their altar in the tabernacle and later the temple all types of the one perfect sacrifice that was to come when the fullness of time,  set by God arrived and His Son, the Word who was in the beginning with God and was God made his human appearance on earth in a body of flesh, bones and blood, and accomplished what only God the Son could do. Offer Himself as a perfect atoning sacrifice for our sins. 

                                                   
                                                                                                                                                                   All being made known when  God called Abraham and he obeyed and it was accounted to him as righteousness. Because of that obedience God promised to make him a great nation where all the families of the earth would be blessed through Abrahams progeny. It's the beautiful story of the redemption of sinful mankind. God reaches down out of heaven and plucks an undeserving soul out of the miry clay, out of the pit,  and sits their feet upon a rock. And that Rock is Christ Jesus.

                                                     

                                                                                                                                                                     A perfect human being was needed. Only Jesus  was worthy to fulfill God's plan. For He is the Only Son of God. "For God made Him who had no sin to be a sin offering for us. so that in Him we might become the righeousness of God." All according to the Scripture, predestined and foreknown before the foundation of the world.  Mind boggling YES. The Apostle John said it so succinctly in his first letter  "In this is love. Not that we loved God but that He loved us. And sent His Son to be the propitiation (atoning sacrifice) for our sins."  That is the gospel, the good news foreordained by God. Christ died for our sins, was buried and was raised again the third day according to the Scriptures.                                                                                     Though the ages and now the god of this age, that serpent of old, the devil or satan is doing his best to keep people away from knowing this truth. Prowling around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Even appearing as an angel of light to fool and lure the unsuspecting who willingly follow the prince of the power of the air. The spirit that works in the in the sons of disobedience.                                                                                          

For every human being has a nature that inclines them to denying God's truth, for people love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil.(John 3:19)  Without that calling by God people do not want that intervention that is offered by grace through faith. They would rather continue in their sin.  It is comfortable. It is soothing and familiar. They are of this world and do not want to give up what the world offers. Loving spiritual darkness rather than the light of the gospel of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.                                                                                                                                        One of the wicked one's many ways of distracting the human race from God's truth is through false religions. Keeping people far from the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Evening going as far as to twist Scripture in such a way that distracts people from God's one and only Son. The Savior of the world.                                                                                     Islam says Jesus Christ didn't die for our sin on the cross.  (1 Cor. 15:1-5) That he is Not the Word who was in the beginning with God and was God. (John 1:1-5) who was miraculously conceived in the womb of a virgin.(Is.7:14; 9:6)   Jesus is but a prophet.                                                                                                                                                     But it goes further than that with some of those associated with the Islamic faith. They deny that Israel was God's chosen people. (Deu. 7:7-11) The Israelites did not choose God. God chose them. For to the  Jews pertain the adoption,  the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises, of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen. (Romans 9:1-5)  

                                                           

Another problem has to deal with the land of Canaan. Those people He called, the Israelites,  come directly from Abraham and his progeny Issac and Jacob and all those in that genetological line. Isalm claims Ishmael as their own. In Genesis 21:12, God tells Abraham to send Ishmael and his mother away, "for in Isaac your seed shall be called." God considers Isaac's progeny to be the true sons of Abraham. Scripture tells us  Ishmael  will be " a wild man; His hand shall be against every man," and it is to this day.                                                                                                                                                 According to the Bible, the land God promised to Israel extended from the Nile River in Egypt to Lebanon (south to north) and from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River (west to east). This expansive territory included regions such as Judea, Samaria, and Galilee during Jesus’ time.  Modern discussions about the land promised to Israel include everything that modern-day Israel possesses, as well as additional territories occupied by Palestinians (such as the West Bank and Gaza), parts of Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. But this is contested by a vast majority of Muslims.                   Yet even some of their own respected scholars have different views: " traditional commentators from the eighth and ninth century onwards have uniformly interpreted the Koran to say explicitly that Eretz Yisrael (Israel)  has been given by God to the Jewish people as a perpetual covenant. There is no Islamic counterclaim to the Land anywhere in the traditional corpus of commentary.” Unlike what some Muslims believe including the terrorist groups that viciously attacked Israel on Oct. 7 2023. brutally murdering over 1200 men, women and children and taking over 200 hostages.  

                                                         

           

                                            

Scripture tells us we are  in a spiritual struggle "against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."  That  Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” ...that there are deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons....and that satan and his demons create  unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved...For the whole world lies under the sway (influence) of the wicked one....                                                                                          God gave to His chosen people the land they now are residents of. Today we are hearing the opposite of this among those who want Israel gone from that land. Others including those in many of our college classrooms are teaching  otherwise and even mouthing the hamas chant "From ther river to the sea" a genocidal war cry  that calls for the destruction of the world's only Jewish state and the annihilation of  world's Jews from the face of the earth. Including those on many of  our College campuses. They have been teaching this for years now and it has now all come to fruition. Demanding Israel be gone from the land promised them by Yahwah Himself. And eliminated from existence. As these reprobates want God dead. The Only True and Holy God of the Bible. As well as Israel                                                                                                                         "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be."(Romans 8:7)

                                                                                       

                                                                                                                                                                     It appears to me that the haters of the God of Scripture have infiltrated and taken over our colleges indoctrinating students into a hatred for all jews, not only those in Israel. They have polluted the halls of higher education with the doctrines of death and the teachings of the enemy who prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. (John 8:44)  They are children of their father the devil. And they're caught in their hearts and minds in a the web of deceit. Their young, fertile Minds numbed and poisoned with radical teachings and hatred as they chant "from the river to the Sea." It appears their indoctrination into the religion of death has been sealed.                                                                         

                                                               

The enemies of Israel see  only one  solution. The total annihilation of the state of Israel. In the land that was promised to them thousands of years ago in God's Covenant relationship given to them by the LORD. Yes those spewing this hatred may not even know or believe in a god. But they are serving the enemy of all righteousness whether they know it or not, And they will be held responsible and accountable on the day of judgment before the King of kings and Lord of lords  Yeshua Hamashiach.  Jesus the Christ. 

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. ( 2 Cor 5:10)

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

If you confess with your mouth Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from thre dead. You will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36)

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.  The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.  Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.(Rev 20:11-15)

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (Rev. 20:10)

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. Here's Another Fine Mess

                                                          

I'm old enough to remember Stan and Ollie and that  famous line from Ollie to Stan when things began to dissolve into disarray and chaos "Here's another fine mess you've gotten us into." Not in the theatres mind you.  But on our Black and White TV with reruns that always gave me a chuckle.   

The human race is a mess. We have stuff, want to hold on to that stuff and to make matters worse we desire to acquire more stuff. We can't get enough of stuff. It is a vicious cycle of stuff. Comedian George Carlin even did a bit about it. Very funny because it's very true. People want to be liked and attractive to others. So people spend millions if not billions of dollars on lotions and potions to retain attractiveness and youthful vigor. Some of which we never had in the first place. Stop the wrinkles, firm up that butt, add some bulging muscles to that frame, I need six pac ads, I need a new body.

Fix those imperfections with a little dab here, a little dab there. Heck, how about dabbing everywhere! Pile on the make up, better yet inject the botox. Remake the face, break the nose and surgerically increase the legs for added height. Remold it, inject it, affect it to perfect it. Give yourself a new smooth forehead, cheeks, and eliminate those puffy sagging under the eye bags and wrinkles. Why?

Time is eating away at every sinew of our being. Everything that surrounds us and within us, is running down, has an expiration date, and reveals with age the sorry state of the human race. When truth be known, if you live long enough, everything is going to sag, drift, deform, crinkle, wrinkle, wear out, collapse, and come to a grinding halt.

Science has a term for it. Entrophy. In physics it is a thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system's thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work, often interpreted as the degree of disorder or randomness in the system:"the second law of thermodynamics says that entropy always increases with time" · (yes very true. I feel your pain because I have my own degree of that nastiness) lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder:

No matter what you do about that process of gradual decline, truth is, it is going to win. Like an olympic runner it will cross the finish line and get the gold. Standing at the top of the podium displaying it's trophy in victory. It is never defeated. It always wins and all of us eventually die. Everything will just stop and our physical bodies will succumb to its vicious attacks. People do their best to insist that this is the natural order of things. The evolution of all living things. So the world says.

The simple fact is that everything ages and eventually dies. Death is perfectly natural in this fallen world. So accept it. But most of us don't. So we ignore it. Don't talk about it. Bury it (did I just say that) from our rabid pursuit of life. If we don't speak about it, it will simpy disappear and vanish from our lives. Until reality sits in and it slaps us right in our sagging, wrinkly, aching, stinky meat sacks, face. It's like the end of a movie trailer but says "Coming to a body near you".

So why is there death? The end of life in this world. The Holy Scripture, the Bible, tells us death is the result of sin. The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) Every single human being ever born (except one) by nature of being human has inherited death. “By one man sin entered the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

The very first human beings, Adam and Eve, were told not to disobey God but they did, and the penalty for the disobedience was death, which has been handed down to all their posterity. That means you! ("Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—" Romans 5:12)

So what can we do to avoid death? Nothing in and of ourselves. We are tainted through and through. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) There is nothing righteous we can do because none of us is righteous. And none of us in and of ourselves can be righteous. No so called good works can gain us acceptance for no good work from a sinful human being is good in the sight of God. Because as Jesus the Christ said, "we must be perfect" to elict God's favor. And no one is perfect in the sight of a Holy, Righteous and Perfect God.

A rich young man addressed Jesus with the words "Good teacher." Jesus set Him straight on that "good" description of Himself saying "no one is good except God."

And He is! The Word who was in the beginning with God and is God, in the flesh. "Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. (Heb. 2:14-15)

God's children are all those given to Christ Jesus by God the Father. "In this is love. Not that we loved God... (the human condition is by nature at odds with God, " Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:7-8).... but that he loved us and sent His Son to be an atoning sacrifice of our sins. (1 John 4:10)

But as many as received Him, by grace through faith and not of themselves for it is a gift of God, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."(John 1:12-13)

God reaches out to those he calls from darkness to light and from death (eternal) to life (everlasting) Is God calling you, drawing you near, convincing you of His truth? Heed the call. Devour His truth. It's right there in the Bible. You can start at the Gospel of John. Discover who this One really is. Why he came down from heaven. And why He said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through Him." (John 14:6)

After you take your last breath and depart this world for eternity it will be too late. For it is appointed once for people to die and then the judgement. And Scripture says it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Jesus the Christ himself said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Receive that joy and peace that is beyond understanding.

For the Savior that gave up evertything for you assures us, " Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says,“In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation." (2 Cor. 6:2)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Rom. 10:9) Saved from what you might ask?

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36) What do God's people inherit?

Jesus says," I give unto them everlasting life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any one snatch them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. (John 10:28-30)
