"Same family, Same message"
Abraham Moses
Jesus Mohammed
I know a lot of people are now saying all religions are one and the same. Especially when it comes to Islam, Judaism and Christianity. But Jesus made some very profound statements about Himself which Isalm would never accept. Now to Mohammed.
There was a different message in Mecca from Mohammed when he first claimed to recieve revelation from God. (though when the vision first appeared he believed he was a majnun (possessed by a jinn..the Koran's name for a demon)
Surah 73:10 "have patience with what they say, and leave them with noble (dignity.)
Surah 2:256 "Let there be no compulsion in religion."
Surah 29:46 "dispute ye not with the People of the Book (The Bible) ....We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam). Suran 29:46.
Mohammed left Mecca, where he was weak and struggling to be accepted, often mocked and ridiculed.
He went to Medina; his followers grew in strength and number, he became a relentless warrior, intent on spreading his religion by the sword. And he wrote in his Medinan Surahs...
2:19 "slay them wherever ye catch them and turn them out from where they have turned you out."
Surah 2:193 "Fight (Kill) them on until there is not tumult or oppression and there prevail justice and faith in Allah."
Surah 9:29 "fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last day......Not acknowledge the religion of truth (Islam), even if they are of the people of the Book, (until they pay Jszya (tribute tax) WITH WILLING SUBMISSION and feel themselves subdued."
In Islam there is a law of abrogation. The recent verses in the Koran (cancels and replaces) the old verse and renders it null and void. (Surah 2:106) The Meccan verses that call for love, peace and patience are made null and void by the Medenan passages that call for killing, decapitating and maiming.
The Isalmic terrorism we see today are from so called good (pious) Muslims, who wish to follow and obey the Koran where:
Jesus is only a prophet.
Jesus will deny having ever claimed divinity at the Last Judgment, according to Islam.
What does Scripture say?
Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. (John 8:54-59) Notice they picked up stones to stone him. Why? For Blaspheme.
But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. (John 5:17-18)
"I and the Father are one." The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God." (John 10:30-33)
"And they came into the house and saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell down and worshiped Him; and opening their treasures they presented to Him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh." (Matt 2:11)
"And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, "You are certainly God’s Son!" (Matt 14:33)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. (John 1:1-2)
The Apostolic letters
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. (Col. 2:8-10)
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: (The triune nature of God) (1 Peter 1:1-2)
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. And:“You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.(Heb 1:1-4; 8;10)
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, (Phil 2:5-6;)
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (Hebrews 13:8)
and in the Old Testament ....
Isaiah 44:6 - "Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me."
Repeated in the New Testament from Christ Jesus Himself
Rev. 1:17-18 - "Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades."
Islam can claim to have much in common with Christians (or Jews) but the reality is another matter. Not all religions are the same. There are not many paths to God. There is One Way, one Truth and One Life, and no one comes to God the Father except through His Son Jesus Christ.
But know this, even Isalm is an exclusivist religion.
Whoso desireth any other religion than Islam, that religion shall never be accepted for him, and in the next world he shall be among the lost. (Surah 3:79) *
Jesus proved he was indeed the very unique Son of God.
Now it came to pass, when Jesus finished commanding His twelve disciples, that He departed from there to teach and to preach in their cities. And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” (Matt 11:1-5)
And attested to by those who were eyewitnesses of those things. (Acts 10:34-43)
Abraham looked forward to the day of Jesus Christ, to the city which has foundations whose builder and maker is God. To the blessing that would come upon all the nations of the earth because he believed and God accounted it to him as righteousness.
By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.(Heb 11:24-26)
In obedience Jesus Christ came down from above, not of this world, took on human flesh and dwelt among us. And as Peter exclaimed, "For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (2 Peter 2:16-18)
"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life...but the wrath of God abides on him.” (1 John 5:12 ; John 3:36)
Does this offend you? It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. (Jesus The Christ)
